January 11, 2008, Newsletter Issue #86: What Guests Should Bring to Gourmet Gatherings

Tip of the Week

You're invited to an event in which you know gourmet food will be served and you need to bring something as a sign of good gesture. Even if you have not been asked to bring anything it is a good idea to bring a gift of food or drink. These gifts are universally appreciated, no matter what the food type. Experts say don't worry that your food gift isn't gourmet or doesn't match well with the theme or flavors of the menu. It really is true that it's the thought that counts. And your token will not go unappreciated even if the food or drink is saved by the host for another gathering.
